- On May 22, 2024, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced that the city will be granted full statehood after the INDIA bloc comes to power on June 4. Kejriwal made the statement during a roadshow in the Malviya Nagar area of south Delhi, expressing confidence that the INDIA bloc would form the government following the announcement of Lok Sabha poll results.
